New comic up

Yeah whatever it's incredibly late. Third and last character introduced. I still find it interesting how these are getting progressively better, even when I thought the last one was good already.

By now you probably know I make a bunch of promises about being punctual with new comics but I tell ya, I had no idea what my work pace would be but its pretty darned slow. However, I think at this point only like 4 people check this website, I'm glad of that too because I've learned that this site is still not ready to be circulated around yet. It's only until I finished this last strip that I realized how bad the rest look. I can't open up these files on my computer without being embarrassed. You know i actually thought the first strip I drew (marked as #1) was pretty good?

At the advice of Mathias DeRider, I made this prologue strip, to better set up the comic's development. I'm glad I did too, it taught me a lot. Also, with this, I was able to look back on my other comics and say "Oh man, those actually suck in comparison to this one." This one took roughly 16 days to draw, but to be honest there were days and nights I blew away all of my free time browsing the internet or playing Left 4 Dead (that game is the bomb diggity). You guys will notice a difference in the art between official "first" strip and the other four. I have acquired a drawing tablet and have learned to be pretty handy with it. All things being fair, there is no reason why future strips should take this long to come out anymore, but I fall into lazy spells every now and then. However, they're becoming less frequent. That's good news.

Also, I made a logo for the website. It's a strange star shaped ornament that, hopefully, epitomizes the website. And if it doesn't... well it looks nice anyway.

But seriously, its a great feeling how every time you make a new one, everything else looks like crap. You people would die of laughter if you saw the very, very first one I made. I mean, Jesus, when I first drew I thought it was decent but holy crap is it bad.

Happy New Year

It has been driving me crazy and been nothing but a sore in my heart but this website was completely frozen for the past three weeks because I was away from my personal computer. I really wish I could have worked on the comic during winter break, but alas, circumstances have made spending time with my family a rare occasion, so in all good conscience I had to take the three weeks off from the comic to be here with my family. I have some good news to report though; I got a drawing tablet, so It's safe to assume I will be able to draw things much faster; I have had a lot of time to think about the directions and concepts of this comic; I have grown very eager to start continuing the comic. I want to hit the ground running when I get back on January 4th.

However I'm not quite sure how many of you actually care (which only works in my favor for now) because I've only uploaded four strips so far and I haven't even bothered to advertise the site yet. I plan to advertise once I have 6 strips total (enough time to set me into a steady rhythm). But I know some people already are following this site, and to them I apologize. But it's a new year, I feel refreshed, and I'm still gonna run with this site.

Well I just finished the 4th strip. I gotta tell ya it would have been impossible to make it within a week. It takes longer to draw a comic like that (which is pretty sad, because it's no masterpiece). Maybe I should invest in a drawing tablet, or just stay up really late every night. Either way, I gotta find a way to be able to make one by the end of a week. Still, by my standards, it's pretty amazing I haven't just upped and abandoned this website. I have a long and consistent track record of doing things half way and quitting. Then again, in terms of the comic's story, I haven't gotten anywhere close to halfway. Oh lordy lou what have I gotten myself into? But this is kind of fun. Though I must say it's a jab in the heart when someone says something bad about some you've created and posted on a website (but you learn to grow a thick skin), and every once in a while, someone says something crassly helpful. What great learning experience.
